So as I mentioned a little while ago, I gave myself a haircut on a whim, due to my distaste of going to hair salons. It was not very good. I finally decided to get it fixed, and got a hairdresser who came to my house, which was good. I asked for it quite short, and well now it definitely is that...
I'm not 100% sure what I think about it to be honest, but perhaps in a few days I'll like it better. Otherwise I guess I'll just be wearing a lot of hats.
And be towering over Manhattan about to grab the Statue of Liberty (not to scale).
P.S. At least this has been a fairly good distraction from the 'aargh thesis' side of life!
I think your hair looks lovely this way! I've always been a fan of short hair - not everyone can pull it off. And when I looked at the second picture there was an evil laugh that accompanied it! I got distracted from writing today as well - started shopping around for a videographer to do a video for me for the blog! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is quite a difference!!! I get my hair cut so infrequently that I always have an "Oh God, what have I done??" freak out afterwards too. But once you get used to it, I'm sure you'll like it!
ReplyDelete(It looks good, for the record. Different. But good.)
It looks nice, suits on your face, don't bother.
ReplyDeleteI love it! It is a super cute cut on you. I also hate going to hair salons...it's stupid, idle chit chat....I'm so not social. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!! that makes me want to cut all my hair off again too. I like the little tiny flip it does in the back : )
ReplyDeleteI love it!! I love short hair but I'm always so scared to get a hair cut. Like serious freak out, shivering, shaking scared. So I'm always jelly of people who who get short cuts. :(
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. You'll get used to it in no time.
Lor
It looks great! :)
ReplyDeletethat looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love that you cut your own hair first. That is something that I have never done because I am afraid that I would end up looking like a Beatle. Probably Ringo. The most I have done is my fringe and if that is anything to go by, I need to step away from the scissors.
ReplyDeleteIts a very cute pixie-like cut. I like it. It's just weird at first because you are not used to it. Give it time. And hats are great for anyone's bad hair day (me, everyday). At first I thought that beanie had ears. haha. I love eared beanies. Yes I am five. :D
Looks great - you're very brave to have wielded the scissors on your own hair. I'd be petrified of cutting a huge chunk out... :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're hilarious (re: cutting off own hair first) and it looks great now!
ReplyDeleteJust... err... you may find yourself going to the hairdresser more often if you wish to maintain it (which is why I'm currently going through a growing-out phase, then I'll find long hair annoying, chop it off and regularly see my hairdresser again... awful awful cycle, but my hair grows relatively quickly, so hopefully you'll be luckier than me!)
I used to cut my own hair all the time when I was in college. I'm new here so I don't know what it looked like before, but I think that this haircut is super cute.
ReplyDeleteOh I like it!! I think you look awesome!
