I've twisted and sprained ...Welcome to my life. I've twisted and sprained more things than I can count. In fact, I somehow injured myself every single semester in college except my first. I've even sprained my foot. Not my ankle, my FOOT. How do you even do that?

Anyway. An awkward (sort of) injured-in-public story to make you feel better.

I am lactose intolerant. I always have been. I used to legit be allergic (like...broke out in hives allergic), but then it dissipated for a while and I could have certain dairy products in limited quantities. During the summer of 2005, I went on a DC trip with my online school and we stopped by Starbucks before we went to the main gathering area to start the day.

Our morning started with a walking tour of the White House. At Starbucks that morning, I had gotten a hot chocolate with regular milk. I had gotten the same thing the day before and was perfectly fine. But apparently my lactose intolerance decided to just flare up on the second go-round because all of sudden I got this INTENSE stomach pain (think like the worst cramps without actually making you want to puke). Except I got this intense stomach pain AT THE WHITE HOUSE.

The best way to alleviate said pain is to curl up in a ball. And so I did so. On the ground. Outside the White House. So while my guy friends were all standing around debating whether or not I was dying and if I was dying if they'd be able to get me to the hospital in time, a Secret Service guy walked up and said, "Ma'am, are you alright?" I said I was fine. He said, "Are you sure? Because if you need help, we have several doctors downstairs and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to check you out." I thanked him again, but declined.

So I feel your pain, lady. I feel your pain.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5422176842648621342.post-3904104460687881382012-04-13T01:15:28.768+10:002012-04-13T01:15:28.768+10:00Lozz, Lozz, Lozz... I'm glad you're okay!

If it makes you feel any better, my boyfriend had to take me to the campus health center a few weeks ago because I hit my ankle off of my bedpost and, well, said a few choice words. SO that is at least one person. :)

But in all seriousness, I hope your ankle is feeling better. That is horrible and one of my worst nightmares everytime I pull out a pair of heels to wear.

I think your husband should buy you one of those chickens just to make you feel better. :D

P.S - I saw the black fluffy ones with the white mohawks last year. And I pulled all the ligaments in my right ankle. That was four years ago, and it's still periodically twingy. So...yeah. That's an awkward story to tell if anyone asks why my ankle hurts!!Melbourne on my Mindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07125351116980965317noreply@blogger.com
